The Guayadeque ravine is located between the municipalities of Agüimes and Ingenio, to the east of the island of Gran Canaria. There is access to the location by roads stemming from either town that cross through the small village of Montaña de Las Tierras. In this small village located inside the ravine, the asphalt road continues through the troglodyte town of Cueva Bermeja before it comes an end.
On top of the municipality of Agüimes and in the middle of the mountain range, at 650 meters high, stands the Valley of Temisas. It's made up of the homely village of San Miguel, Corazón de Jesús and La Inmaculada.
Arinaga beach was formerly characterized by its fishing activity. Today, it has become an area of importance and of habitual residence. It is also the main vacational spot chosen by the locals during the summer. Due to the tranquility of its waters, it has favorable bathing conditions, and it is crossed by a maritime avenue of more than three kilometers long, perfectly adapted to the environment.
One of the most interesting sightseeing experiences in the municipality of Agüimes is walking through the streets of the old town. In this historical site, we can discover a real open-air museum. Its sculptures and cultural heritage recollect the traditions and essence of the place.
